What Is A Water Fasting Diet?
The article is under Weight Loss
That’s Why It’s Called Water Fasting…
A water fasting diet is a diet where you drink water and besides that, you are not allowed to ingest or imbibe anything at all.
This diet is called the ultimate crash diet and is the clear favorite of anorexics. A water fasting diet should not be conducted without consulting the doctor first.
A water fasting diet is perhaps the most dangerous diet after the zero diet, where you drink and eat nothing at all, containing potential health risks already on the very first day.
Water Fasting: Scientifically Speaking
If you do not ingest anything except water, your body will start using up all available glucose first-to keep up on energy. Once that has been used up, in about eight hours or less, the body will start to use up the fat reserves.
The last resort after the fat has been used up will be the muscle tissue. Incredibly enough, it does take a while until starvation mode sets in, although this is a subjective onset, some people are unable to survive without food only a few days, although enough fat reserves would have been available. Other people can live for weeks without food.
This weight loss method is extremely unhealthy.
The water fasting diet or zero diet would work great, if you would eat normally every other day, the scientists have found out that such fasting may prolong the life span significantly. Continuing the water fasting diet beyond the safe measure of five days will most definitely result in some kind of ailment, because every single nutrient necessary for survival is not being ingested and you have no idea how extensive your reserves are.
Harold Fasting Said,
Hi,
Though I would agree on some of your ideas but saying that water fasting is extremely unhealthy is a mistake. My body is a result of a 30-day water fast. Even our family doctor was amazed by the result. I lose 40 lbs, my blood pressure is back to normal and I no longer have frequent constipation like before..
I don’t want to offend you and your opinion about water fasting, I just want to take into account my experience and some facts about my experience.
Thanks!
